Very low-key and laid back. Couches and chairs with a small dance floor. Full bar with an extensive selection of import beers. Prices are reasonable with regular drink specials.

The event itself is held upstairs. Just walk in the door, you will be carded, and then head straight up the steps to the top to pay the cover (don't pay the cover downstairs, cuz that's a separate event; altho that is where the bar is to get drinks).

As for parking, it's easiest to find a spot at the Illinois Terminal parking lot on the south side of University Avenue (cuz the alley is usually packed). It's just a hop, skip, and jump to get to M+M's from there (look for the green neon sign). If you are taking the bus, however, you can get off right at that Illinois Terminal.
